New Year

Welcome to Year of the Dog

I am a bit late in bidding everyone a Happy New Year. Even if I was wishing happy Chinese New Year (Gung Hey Fat Choy) I would be about 3 weeks late. March? Where did the first two months of 2006 go?

Well not much exciting going on for me in San Francisco. The rain has finally started. It is beating my deck and back yard into oblivion as I type this note and as it has been for the last week. Even had a small earthquake an hour or so ago. Well that or Muni ran into something hard enough to make the whole house go Thud. I'm pretty sure it was a tiny quake.

I updated the photo gallary with a few more pictures of Puck, odds and ends in Around Town, and with some photos from our Christmas trip to Santa Barbara. The "Winter Monarch" pictures really are quite spectacular. The things that look like clumps of leaves in the trees are actually clumps of butterflies. Really an amazing thing to see - thousands and thousands of butterflies! Paul was very clever with taking pictures through the binoculars - so you get some detailed close up shots too.

Enjoy. Hopefully I'll travel somewhere fun and interesting again soon and have more pictures to update the website. I have no pictures for 2006 yet - something that needs to be fixed soon! I''ll get working on that now (at least start planning something fun) instead of just updating this site.
